About Graham Ramsay

I became a trustee of Hope for Tomorrow (HfT) n January 2023. Hft is a registered charity which supports NHS Trusts by providing and managing mobile cancer care units (MCCUs). MCCUs minimise the disruption to the lives of cancer patients and those that care for them by bringing treatment closer to their homes and/or places of work than would otherwise be the case. I was previously a director of Rissington Applications Ltd, with particular responsibility for Business Development & Strategy. We designed solutions for the emergency services, most notably the public alerting system Incident Alert and Notifire, an evacuation management system for use in multi-occupancy buildings Prior to that I was the proprietor of Rissington Stanley Partnership which supported cross sector and multi agency working partnerships, My main career was in policing, where I served with Gloucestershire Constabulary as Head of Organisational Development and in a range of posts with a government agency and the Metropolitan Police. I have extensive experience of designing and delivering culture change and leadership development programmes throughout my career in the police and civil service, and as Proprietor of the Rissington Stanley Partnership. My skills and abilities are evidenced by those who have kindly provided endorsements below. I have particular interests in supporting the development of organisations and cross sector and multi agency partnerships, helping them to identify and prepare for changing operational environments, I am also interested in developing the employability skills of people seeking to enter the world of work. I obtained the Certificate in Training and Development in 1993,and became a Member of the Institute of Personnel and Development (IPD) in 1994. I became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) in 2001, and acquired an Institute of Leadership and Management certificate in coaching in 2008. I attended the Independent Command Course at Bramshill in 2010, one of only a handful of police staff to do so.Specialties: Organisational developmentCulture diagnosticsCulture changeLeadership developmentPersonal developmentProfessional developmentPartnership workingCoaching/mentoringMediationTraining

Graham Ramsay Work Experience Details
  • Hope For Tomorrow
    Member Board Of Trustees
Hope For Tomorrow Jan 2023 - Present
    Stonehouse, England, United Kingdom
I became a trustee/director of Hope for Tomorrow in January 2023. HfT is a registered charity and is the largest provider of mobile cancer care in England. We operate 14 mobile cancer care units (MCCUs), each with 4 treatment chairs, supporting NHS Trusts across the country. The MCCUs help to minimise the disruption cancer care can have on the lives of patients and those that care for them,by bringing treatment closer to their home or place of work. This enables them to manage their care in a less stressful environment and avoids the anxiety that can result from travelling to, parking at and waiting for treatment at fixed NHS facilities. It also creates greater capacity to manage more complex treatments at NHS hospitals. Around 15,000 patients currently benefit from attending MCCUs. Examples of their stories can be found on the HfT website (www.hopefortomorrow.org.uk).
