Wolfpack Motorsports is an extra-curricular engineering club at NC State University. We construct a formula-style race car to compete in annual competitions in Michigan and Nebraska.As the Aerodynamics Lead, I work with a small team of engineering students to design, manufacture, and validate the bodywork and aerodynamic elements on the car. Solid modeling of these components is done in Solidworks. The design is then analyzed and optimized using Star CCM+ CFD.The aero and bodywork components are constructed using carbon fiber and fiberglass composites. Once manufactured, the design is validated through wind-tunnel and on-track testing.

The NC State Engineering Career Fair is the second largest in the nation, hosting over 300 companies twice a year. As a Student Manager I lead a team of over 20 student coordinators and 150 volunteers to plan and execute this event.

As an EcoVillage Mentor at NC State University I aid new and returning students in adjusting to the college environment. The EcoVillage is a Living and Learning Community on campus with a focus in sustainability and environmental awareness. The goal of the EcoVIllage is to create a community of environmentally-aware students on campus to promote sustainable education.I am responsible for the well-being of a group of 10 students by maintaining contact and providing them with necessary knowledge of on-campus resources. I am also responsible for planning monthly small-group events. These events can be educational, social, or both. In addition to planning monthly events, I also lead a larger educational program for the whole Village once a semester.

Greensboro/Winston-Salem, North Carolina Area

I have completed three co-op rotations at Honda Aircraft Company. My first rotation was with the Acoustics and Vibrations group. My second rotation I worked as a Cognizant Engineer in the Environmental Control Systems group. My final rotation I worked as a Design Engineer in the Structures group.As a co-op working in the Acoustics and Vibrations department, I supported testing efforts both in the lab and on the aircraft. This involved designing and implementing lab experiments to acquire accurate and consistent results. In addition to conducting physical tests, I also provided analytical solutions to compare and validate the lab tests.As a Cognizant Engineer in the Environmental Control Systems group I coordinated with a team of engineers from various suppliers to implement design changes.As a Design Engineer in the Structures group I used CATIA V5 to redesign various components of the aircraft for improved functionality.
