My position within Thorp Precast Ltd is varied and challenging. Between myself and my two assistants we are responsible for all aspects of the accounts of the company, including payroll, PAYE, VAT, CIS, customer receipts and supplier payments.I am a sole signatory to the bank accounts and have developed a great deal of trust over the years between the owner and myself to the point where I am now in charge of £M's on a daily basis.I produce monthly and weekly management figures covering a variety of topics to ensure that the Board of Directors has the most relevant and up to date information available.I have also been tasked with many other duties including, H&S issues such as preparing the company employee handbook, ensuring that training is up to date and continual toolbox talks are arranged. As well as ensuring that the entire H&S documentation system is up to date and constantly reviewed. These areas have grown so large now, that we employ separate Managers who are responsible to myself and Directors.I have also managed to ensure that the company implemented an EMS and we are now into our fifth year of BS8555 level 4 certification.Together with one of our Project Managers we are tasked with reading every construction contract we enter into to ensure that we are happy with all the terms and conditions contained in them and where necessary bringing these to the attention of the Directors.

Overall responsibility for the company's finances, including cash flow, monthly management accounts, PAYE, VAT, CIS and all other related tasks.
