Provide fertilizer purchase guidance and advice to agricultural retailers in order to strengthen financial position while maximizing efficiency using all risk management tools available for fertilizer.Development and implement a profitable fertilizer risk management system with customers. Oversee operations of the AgriVisor Trading Desk including OTC transactions, futures brokerage, options brokerage, and weather derivatives. Registered Series 30 Futures Branch Office Manager, Series 3 Broker, and Registered Crop Insurance Agent. Developed and implemented a new portfolio of products to include commentary, advisory services, brokerage, hybrid grain contracts, and premium advisory services to commercial elevators and farmer producers across the Midwest. Developed and maintain relationships with large, multi-national banks in the OTC derivatives market and established a master swap agreement to trade and execute OTC derivatives between farmer producers, commercial elevators, large cooperatives, and multi-national banks/end-users. Manage an on going successful partnership with AgriVisor, Pro Farmer, and Doane Advisory Services through participation in the Crossover Solutions Insight Program – innovative cash grain contracts that leverage the expertise of competing advisory firms to enable producers to diversify the way they manage price risk.

The Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation has earned a reputation as being one of the best programs in the country as confirmed by the ag leadership positions attained by its graduates. It is viewed as the "MBA" of agriculture. It is a two-year graduate level program open to Illinois men and women (25 - 49 yrs of age) who are already engaged in various business segments of agriculture. The mission is to prepare them to become effective spokespersons, leaders and policy and decision makers in the ag industry. Class participants are chosen through a comprehensive competitive selection process. The program addresses relevant topics and issues in a series of dynamic seminars led by leaders in their field of expertise. The seminar series involves over 120 hours of classroom time at leading Illinois universities (University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business, Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and the University of Illinois College of Agriculture, Consumer and Environmental Sciences in Champaign, among others.) Visits to major corporations and travel to Springfield and Washington DC for extensive sessions with legislators and the executive branch are critical components to the education process, as is a two-week international educational/study travel session.
