As an extension of the Profit Protection role I was tasked to do Compliance Audits - - Trading Standards - Health & Safety - Fire - Pharmacy - E-Learning Store Managers & Colleagues And Stock-take procedures - pre & post Stock-take support - within the Stores. This also included training of new Store Managers/Assist.Managers in Total Loss Tool, Super 6+/Exception Report, Theft & Fraud, Store Securities.

•Support all stores in Scottish & N.I. Divisions as a lead pharmacy investigator dealing with internal/external theft, failure of company policy on standard/private prescriptions, control of stock and date checking of held stock.•Actively investigate all incidents of internal and external theft and take appropriate action.•Produce comprehensive and detailed case files in accordance with employment law and for Law Enforcement Agencies to act upon.•Proactively investigate any suspected breaches of security and where appropriate forward to Regional and Central teams.•Be a driving force within the Region to promote all “Shrink” initiatives and agenda’s.•Support Area Operations Manager, Group Operations Managers, and Store Managers to deliver there shrink targets.•Challenge and hold to account those managers and colleagues that do not follow the company line around all security issues and “Shrink”.•Support the Region on all aspects of Super 6+ i.e. training, coaching.•Support the AOM, in delivering the guarding budget and deployment of this resources to attack external crime and protect Store personnel and customers from the threat of violence, abuse.•Challenge GSMs, GOMs and Store Managers to continually raise their game to consistently deliver excellent loss prevention and profit protection standards.•Identify and share best practice across the Region and Area, to drive the consistent improvement of loss prevention and profit protection standards.•Actively support other A.I.M.’s within their Areas to deliver those standards. •Developing myself for future Regional roles within the Profit Protection Team. •Support Area Operations Managers and Area Loss Detection Managers in the Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Highland & Island Area’s, to drive down there cash outturns losses through proactively investigating incidents, raising standards of cash handling, and compliance procedures.•Proactively act as a further support in these areas regarding all aspects of “Shrink”.

Attained promotion from Loss Prevention Investigator, based at Store 675, Aberdeen, in May 2002, this was due to being selected to take part in the first wave of stores to be reinvigorated in London, over a 6-month period. The project then continued for a further 3 waves throughout the country, at this point I covered Scotland.PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES.•Liase with the project team regarding all loss prevention and risk issues.•Conduct Store risk assessment prior to implementation of method statements.•Ensure that store teams, contractors understand the loss prevention plan.•Ensure the Store’s are loss prevention ready for refit.•Key point of contact for the guarding company, contractors and store teams (24hours).•Ensure that all guarding requirements are booked in advance and confirmed.•Check and review quality of service standards.•Review training standards of all security officers and conduct regular assessments K.P.I.’s.•Proactively investigate any suspected breaches of security and where appropriate forward to Regional and Central teams.PROJECT RESULTS.London: This involved 165 Store’s across the whole of London Area over a 6-month period, with an overall KPI result GREEN, no major incidents of theft.Scotland: This was conducted over three waves:Wave 1: 14 Store’s KPI result GREEN.Wave 2: 13 Store’s KPI result GREEN.Wave 3: 15 Store’s KPI result GREEN.
