About Graham Willms
SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE AND STRENGHTSI am a reliable, patient individual who has developed excellent problem solving skills. I work well in a team environment as well as independently. I have diverse knowledge in my trade and strong organizational skills. I am a qualified red seal journeymen electrician with 20 years in the trade construction and maintenance and I have been working in a supervisory role supervising the installation of 13.8kv, 5kv,600V,480V switchgear, 600V / 480V motor control centers,& power and distribution systems, HVAC systems, VFD’s, UPS systems, instrumentation, DCS,SIS and delta V systems, as well as lighting and electrical heat trace systems. I have 2 years pre commissioning/ commissioning experience with motor run in’s, bump tests and function checks. Working in both brownfield and greenfield oil/gas environments. I have my inter-provincial red seal and a BC safety authority field safety representative class B 750V ticket. I own my own business G.Willms Electrical Contracting Ltd. and hold my own WCB and insurance. Most of my experience is in the oil sands, heavy industrial oil/gas and sawmill industry. I do have several years of residential and commercial electrical experience working in the Okanagan Valley and doing my apprenticeship in these sectors. I am confident in running crews, planning, estimating, and submitting RFI’s to engineering, submitting daily / weekly reports to the client, tracking progress and ordering material. Through coordination, planning, safe work practices and behavioral based observation systems I have successfully completed several major projects incident free. From starting stages right through and including turnover to the client, as well as pre commissioning and commissioning / start up activities.
