Successfully led the major transformation of Reuters known as “Fast Forward,” a four-year project that revolutionized the Company’s front and back offices.With a sound financial background and in-depth understanding of the regulatory and compliance aspects of operating businesses in America, he has driven major acquisitions that successfully integrated four significant businesses acquired by Reuters in the Americas. While at Retuers, I developed products that formed the base for Reuters success in gaining market share in key markets in America. As President of Focus Group Accounts, I led a team which revitalized the business relationship with Reuters’ top 25 customers on a global basis to successfully grow revenue and contribution . Before joining Reuters in 1986, Mr. Albutt was a management consultant at Deloitte Haskins and Sells in London, and held a management position at Scicon, a London-based software firm. He served in the Royal Navy from 1972 until 1981.From 2002 until its sale in 2007, I was a non-executive director of Datamonitor PLC. I served on the audit and remuneration committees.Since retiring from Reuters in 2005 I have set up three small businesses in Europe and America across a range of vertical markets. A UK citizen, Mr. Albutt has lived in the United States for over fifteen years where he has permanent resident status.
