About Graham Barry
Hello đź‘‹, My name is Graham, Nice to meet you. A little about myself. I have been working in all areas of frontend development for many years. Design and development was always my passion. I started out as a contract web developer where I designed and implemented numerous websites for various companies. Having completed a masters in Web Technologies I became a senior frontend developer in Alkimii and later became Head of UX Development. At Alkimii I designed and implemented software. I carried out UX research, designed and implementation numerous pieces of software (VueJS, Rails, Figma). I then moved specifically into frontend development when I became a senior frontend engineer in CurrencyFair (React, Redux). I am now a senior engineer in Zai which is a global fintech platform and have been pushing boundaries of my knowledge ever since. (React, Redux, PHP) The thing I value most in a workplace is my team mates and colleagues. I have had the pleasure of working with some seriously cool and talented people over the years. I have learned that being a good colleague who is always available to help others is a way to karmically repay for the kindness and support I have been fortunate enough to experience. I think maintaining a work/life balance is key to working sustainably. I would say I am contentious engineer and I genuinely care about the products I create. I have great attention to detail and I am always pushing the boundaries of my knowledge. I have once been described as 'The Sultan of CSS'.
