Carer For My Octogenarian Mum With DementiaHome Jan 2020 - Mar 2023My octogenarian Mum was diagnosed with dementia a few years ago and subsequently other life limiting conditions. Watching your loved ones gradually disappear, often over a prolonged period of time, because of this evil disease is heartbreaking. Much more needs to be done to support all those living with dementia and those providing 24/7 care, often in their own homes and with limited, if any assistance, from social services.I am very proud of how stoical, philosophical and determined Mum was and glad to have had the opportunity to spend some precious time with her in her last few years.
