Written biographic summaries…Talking about yourself as a filmmaker seems like dancing about architecture, but here we go :)I’m a broadcast commercial Director and Photographer. Working as a DP, Producer and Editor have been part of my career as well. I live in Richmond, Virginia in the United States and have worked on every continent (minus Antarctica, but I'm not dead yet). I love filmmaking, cinematography, communication, photography, design, writing, advertising, storytelling, editing, color, graphics, sound, and the web. I started with photography, and then started making films and video art. When I started people big most jobs were still shot on film and the I got in early on the digital stuff was new. I miss the magic and mystery of film. I started making little films 18 years ago, and I’ve been a working professional in production for over 13 years.Did I mention I love digital marketing? I’ve used my skills to make then internet pop too. I’ve been making digital content long before it was called digital content. The storytelling, strategy and sales around it have been a key part of my business as long as I have been in business. I received my degree in Communication Arts and Design from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2004. Since graduating, I’ve worked on Broadcast Commercials, Feature Films, TV Shows, Branded / Digital Content, Documentaries, Music Videos – If you have seen it, I’ve probably worked on it at some point.I shoot with Alexa, Red, Canon Cinema EOS, Canon DSLR, DJI stuff, iPhones, and your Mom's Hi8 camcorder. Whatever. The best camera in the world is the one you have with you – and generally I’m more concerned with light and story.I’m trained to pitch jobs by creating snappy treatments and deep visual presentations. Since I’m a Director and DP – I can function as cinematographer on a job. I can also edit if needed. I can edit in final cut pro and AVID, but I prefer Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. I have plenty of experience in animation and motion graphics.I’m very comfortable working under constant pressure with deadlines, keeping high quality results as the priority. I’m very fast if need be and I know how to make clients and agencies happy.Specialties: Cinematography, Film Production, Broadcast Commercial Production, and Post Production.
