I have been a practicing attorney in New Orleans since for over three decades. After earning a degree in English from Tulane University and my law degree from Tulane University School of Law, I began my practice as an assistant district attorney in Orleans Parish. With a concentration in litigation and post-conviction work, I've tried cases across the state and have argued before the Third, Fourth and Fifth Circuit Courts of Appeal and the Louisiana Supreme Court. My current position is Trial Coach for the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s office.For several years after Hurricane Katrina, I worked as a researcher, writer and editor for the boutique financial research company OTR Global, specializing in travel and leisure, consumer products and cyclicals, and was actively reporting in 2008 during the height of the financial collapse.From 2012 until Covid shut us down, I produced a podcast called "Happy Hour," part of the It's New Orleans family of locally-based podcasts. We covered the local entertainment, political and cultural scene with an unexpected combination of guests. As I review my work history, I find immense satisfaction in its variety. Although I proudly call myself a lawyer, I’ve been happy answering to writer, researcher, editor and content producer, and I am certain the experience I have acquired in these eclectic disciplines has served me well as an attorney.
