Born into an armed forces family, the first half of my life saw me regularly move house and school. I'd lived in 13 different houses across 3 different countries by the age of 16, most of them with the magnolia-painted walls the forces seem to love so much. I know some of you might read that and think it disruptive. But I can look back and see how it’s shaped me and led to my greatest strengths and areas of interest:• I’m not fazed by changeGiven so much change in those formative years, that might not be surprising. I’m flexible, as demonstrated by my ability to perform multiple roles. I’m adaptable, having worked with various agile and waterfall frameworks and methodologies and across different industries. I’m a servant-leadership at heart, and I work to empower teams, from vision to delivery.• I love to talk to people, and to listenNobody has all the answers. But bringing people together to discuss thoughts, experiences, and expertise can solve any problem. Whether that’s working closely with stakeholders, facilitating workshops, collaborating with multi-functional teams, or reaching out to users to validate hypotheses, people are always at the core.• I love to solve problemsThat’s been the story of my career. I have ended up where I am because I can see and understand problems, and I take pleasure in finding solutions. Building products that delight and/or improve the lives of users, even in a seemingly small way, is what drives me.
