Dr. Snyder is an emergency physician and former board member of Wake Emergency Physicians. While caring for sick and injured patients, he recognized the practical and safety limitations of training medical providers with actual hospital patients. He worked directly with the CEO and Board of Directors of WakeMed Health & Hospitals to conceive, finance, and implement the Patient Simulation Center, a state-of-the-art training hospital using high-fidelity patient simulators for training thousands of medical providers annually. He is an outspoken advocate for improving health care and is often requested to speak on drowning prevention and swim advocacy to the NC College of Emergency Physicians, The Emergency Nurse’s Association, Safekids USA, the Brain Injury Center of NC, as well as served on the Risk Management Committee of YMCA of The Triangle.Dr. Graham Snyder was the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SEAL Innovation and patented and commercialized a technology to prevent the drowning of children. Graham co-founded SEAL Innovation to commercialize it in direct response to tragedies witnessed while treating victims of drowning. Over the course of his career Graham has operated at the intersection of business building, technology, safety and medicine. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and specialized in Emergency Medicine at NYU’s North Shore University Hospital. Prior to his medical training, Graham received his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from North Carolina State University. He resides in Raleigh, NC with where when he’s not working, enjoys spending time with family and testing his endurance and strength in Tough Mudders, triathlons, and other extreme sporting events.
