Statoil Mariner EPC ProjectManaging the Supplier team of 11 Document Controllers on the fast track project: Mariner Topside EPC covering 160+ Purchase Orders. Reviewing procedures and processes, updating as necessary. Participating in Supplier Kick Off Meetings to present the Document Control scope and answer questions as required. I created various MS Access queries and Excel templates to manage Document metadata for stream lining and facilitating various processes such as SDL bulk loading, client mark-up management, expediting reports, as well as providing additional reports to Client and Project teams outside of the I-docs system defaults.Managing Document flow for two Clients (Statoil and DSME) across both their systems was an additional challenge as we had to maintain data integrity between them. There were frequent changes to the various Document Management processes so I held regular meetings with the Supplier team to ensure they were informed of any changes and felt confident with the process and systems. I focussed on fostering a positive working environment within the team, sharing knowledge and delegating more complex responsibilities as the job grew to help ensure the team remained highly motivated and valued.Client meetings were regularly held on a weekly basis between both parties and once a month to include other Contractors which I occasionally ran. Due to the fast track nature of the Project I was in frequent contact with the Expediting team to manage prioritisations, metadata integrity and speccing reports within I-docs.

BP Global Subsea Hardware (GSH) – Shah Deniz 2 ProjectResponsible for implementing the transition of GSH scope between the Project (JP Kenny) Docpro system and the GSH Sharepoint system. This included: writing a Gap analysis between both systems and processes covering Document Control, Data and Model data handling, training GSH Project team on using the system, interfacing with third party contractors on managing the transition. • Cb&I
    Senior Document Controller
    Cb&I Aug 2007 - Oct 2008
    Paddington, London
Working primarily on the processing, tracking and storing of design documentation through the CBI in house systems VPRM (Oracle based) and P-Docs (Lotus Notes based system.) in line with strict Client requreiements I taught myself MS Access and designed and created a CMDL Converter for both Design and Vendor disciplines which utilitised use of external Excel tables, several queries, forms and macros to convert VPRM documentation data into the required client layout in Excel format for upload to Client’s system Nexus. This helped reduce a daily reporting requirement by 30 minutes. I used a live Access database connection to VPRM through an ODBC link to set up and produce various reports as required and macros to help automate the issuing process. I wrote several guidelines over the course of the project for PDF-CAD conversion, Access Database use and handover among others. In the latter stages of the project I prepared Handover Databases and reporting queries and macros for Design, Vendor and Subcontractor documentation through the VRPM ODBC link. Utilising Client’s Pearl Client Access database link I assisted the Information Management team by creating a handover database for all Tag Related Data consisting of 135,000 items of data across over 9,000 tags before handing this over to the external office based in Ajman.
