British born, Graham was a fitness fanatic from a very young age competing at national level Judo and Swimming. Later he became involved in Rugby, Triathlons, Cross Country Running and Track and Field. During his late teens he became an adrenaline junky, developing a love for Windsurfing, Surfing, Mountain Biking, Canoeing and Sailing.He learned early how the body works, and the importance of the many facets of fitness. Being in tune with his body gave him a more positive attitude on life.While serving as a Officer in the Royal Air Force Graham became heavily involved in coaching strength and conditioning with the Air Force Rugby team. This first coaching experience fueled his passion to share his philosophy of healthy living and how to achieve your optimum fitness with others.Knowledge is power, Graham searched for many years for ways to improve my own performance and understanding of physical fitness and general well-being. In 2011 Graham discovered CrossFit and was hooked instantly. The CrossFit prescription of "constantly varied, high intensity, functional movement" was an aha moment for Graham. At 44 he is in the best shape of his life, more athletic and stronger now than ever before. He loves the community aspect of CrossFit; being around like-minded, self-starting strivers helps motivate him to be better of all areas of fitness.Graham has run a successful personal training business in the DC area since 2006 and has helped hundreds of local people meet and exceed their fitness goals. Since implementing CrossFit into his client’s workouts he has seen a huge impact to their fitness and as a result their quality of life.Graham’s motivation for starting CrossFit Hard is born out of his passion for helping others get as excited and proactive about their health and fitness as he is.
