About The Hon Graham West

Hi I'm Graham West, Co-Founder and director of kb west advisory, a specialist consulting firm to the Not for Profit (NFP) and Charity sector. I'm known for achieving better Community outcomes in nonprofit organisations and Government both as a consultant, participant, leader and mentor, including convening the End Street Sleeping Collaboration to halve street sleeping in NSW by 2025.I believe in community engagement, collaboration, justice reinvestment, using data, the importance of effective transport and logistics, local environmental strategies, and getting in and doing things;All of these areas are related to my drive to eliminate poverty and ensure that young people, especially indigenous youth, reach their full potential, with a particular focus on the areas of employment and housing. This needs all of us, and it needs a strategic and effective non profit sector, and Government.These have been the driving forces in my working life.With the support of some great people, I bring over 25 years experience in the NFP and Government sectors as a; CEO, Government Minister, Member of Parliament, board member and chair, advisor, systems administrator, analyst, researcher and consultant, to find collaborative solutions to problems.I have written on poverty, homelessness, NFP's, youth engagement in decision-making using social networking and Web 2.0, and am a regular speaker on the importance of community development, NFP management, culture, strategy, governance, and justice reinvestment.I hold a Bachelor of Commerce in Management, a Master of International Studies, and am a Advanced Firefighter with the RFSI'm passionate about making an impact.
