About Graham Doyle

I've always wanted to work with people. My enthusiasm lies in working together with my team, guiding, mentoring and advising. Getting to know people and what makes them tick allows me to form great working relationships. Yet the most satisfaction I get is what I in turn learn from them. I hire smart people so they in turn can teach me and the team a new and better way. Sure, we make mistakes and it’s from these mistakes that we learn the most. When I’m not with my staff, the next most rewarding time is when the hustle and bustle quietens and I can get deep concentration to focus on my own work. I’m an extrovert who likes to be introverted.I started my career in finance after graduating with a master’s degree in engineering, I took my problem-solving skills to the financial services arena where I spent my formative years working in business process improvement. I learnt the value of process driven methodologies; however, it was my hunger for deeper business value-add that led my move to a private bank as a business analyst. I wanted to focus on more practical value add and less on theoretical improvement. I grew from this role into the position as the Lending Product Owner. It’s here where my passion for finance and especially lending took off and I embarked on the journey to attain my CFA. Life intervened and with a growing family I put this on hold. I then moved into management consulting. Here the dynamic nature of new projects, new exposures and new opportunities every few months to keep me out of my comfort zone took over. Moving from management consulting to my new role at Bayport was an easy transition. Bayport is young and entrepreneurial. It’s what attracted me in the first place. There’s no defined way of doing things. We made it up as we went along. We learnt, we made mistakes (and learnt from them!), we got better and we ultimately succeeded, yet never stopped learning. The transition to NTT was an eye-opening experience. Larger corporate, more structured approach, yet still so many opportunities to find new ways to work. A different and enthralling learning experience. In 2021, my family and I made the move to the Netherlands for a variety of reasons. I have moved back to a familiar friend in management consulting with CGI, with a focus back into banking and specifically within lending.I am both a board member and finance committee member for Grayston Preparatory School in Sandton, South Africa.I hold dual Norwegian and South African citizenship.

Listed skills include Business Analysis, Business Process Improvement, Financial Modeling, Banking, and 48 others.
