I implemented an enterprise Distribution Integrity Management Program (DIMP) based on federal requirements of 49 CFR Part 192, Subpart P. This program was developed for seven Local Distribution Companies and has been audited by each state’s regulatory staff. Each audit has been received with positive feedback and no major violations. As a result, Southern Company Gas has been able to analyze and justify significant replacement projects with multiple state regulatory approvals.

As senior product manager for the risk and integrity software, I was in charge of industry research, software implementations, software development and technical support for the risk and integrity application suite. Primary, I conducted risk workshops that included a review of their historical model, a discussion of industry best practices, and recommendations for moving forward with the risk analysis. Client requirements varied greatly, some operators requiring a complete risk assessment plan to be built while others applied an existing risk algorithm to benefit with a superior risk assessment technology. I successfully implemented risk models at over 7 large transmission operators. After every risk model implementation, detailed documentation was prepared defining all modeling requirements and exhaustive risk model testing. My general duties included; responding to RFPs, researching market trends, conducting risk and integrity workshops, presentations at industry tradeshows, creating product road maps, defining functional requirements, quality assurance testing, writing documentation, designing prototype UI interfaces, performing training, and serving as technical support for all GeoFields products. I regularly met with clients and potential customers to gain market evidence to prioritize the enhancements in future releases of the software. I performed in depth software demonstrations to top Fortune 500 companies and attended tradeshows as a sales engineer. I created product roadmaps and developed corporate strategy with the executive and sales staff. I reported directly to the CEO and executive vice president. I traveled extensively, domestically and internationally, for software demonstrations, requirements gathering and discussions of industry trends. I standardized training of all software to increase the effectiveness of training classes and cut labor/preparation costs. I developed prototype user interface designs.

I managed and edited spatial and relational databases for multiple clients. I was lead in implementing a complete GIS solution for a major client, which included a complete overhaul of client data management. I used SQL and Oracle to query/update databases. I created event data from linear referenced SDE layers. I used numerous internal and external ArcGIS extensions for data development. I created a cartographic template to be used for an innovative Alignment Sheet Generator software suite. I lead QC of spatial centerline refinements and database releases. I processed large amounts of various satellite and aerial imagery to be used within a web based GIS system. I produced detailed time and cost estimates of projects.

I helped and instructed customers to services and products. I designed various custom documents for customers. I completed complex design orders in an expeditious manner. I performed routine and preventative maintenance. I was responsible for "Go Live" software and hardware upgrades. I trained and supported coworkers.
