The sites are currently connected to one or more of the 5 independent business specific legacy NetworksMy role was the responsibility for the delivery of WAN migration to a unified WAN to 130 of the 260 sites across EMEA region with the other 50% being covered by a 2nd Project Manager. The 1st batch of 120 sites was issued to the Project for Phase 1 of the programme (Data Discovery phase). During the first month I worked with the other PM and the 2 technical architects assigned to produce the Project Documentation which consisted of Data Discovery Questionnaire, Tracking Schedule, Delivery and travel plans, Site Communications Packs, Comms Room environmental readiness template etc. The documents were being agreed internally in the UK and with the Programme Management team in the USA. When the Customer was presented with the scale of information that was required for the successful delivery of the project they realised that they did not have the resources available and pushed the Project back until September at the earliest. They have also extended the delivery run rate by reducing the number of sites in line for transition by doubling the implementation duration.For the last 3 months or so I have been working on a very similar Project but covering APAC region but essentially it is a like for like WAN & LAN Cisco network refresh. My responsibilities have also included drafting the Agile Working policy and compiling a Hardware & Software requirements schedule for the CSU and progressing through the Senior management Team in the Procurement. The Transition budget is £142K and the full CSU Telephony and IT budget is £382K. This role has required intensive negotiation and liaising with the Users, Sending and Receiving organisations 10 GM cluster Heads of Services and the IT&M teams at 10 Sending PCT's, Estates & Facilities and the CSU Project Team. After completion of the move Project I am working in a BAU role responsible for a 500 device PC and Laptop refresh including upgrade from XP/Office 2003 and continuing transfer of data sets across organisations in a BAU environment.
