Graham has been known to work with his family's mountaineering business based in the Lake District.

The business cluster supports member companies in developing their business on the energy coast and beyond. The cluster comprises start-ups through to multi-nationals in the energy and renewables sectors, inclusing nuclear, oil & gas, wind and wave, and supporting services.

Graham joined Forte as managing partner of the Victoria office and provided consulting services to the provincial government of British Columbia. This included business and systems analysis for the Integrated land and Resource Registry (ILRR), solution architecture of the North West Territories Spatial Data Warehouse. Graham also provided business consulting and implementation of spatial data publishing/replication to the Land Resource Data Warehouse and the development of Logical Data Model and data quality verification environment for the Integrated Cadastral Fabric.

Developed the Solution Architecture for Citywide GIS data management. ArcGIS and Intergraph GeoMedia environments were integrated via an Oracle Spatial database.

Led a team to develop a series of ArcGIS Geodatabase data maintenance environments. These environments were integrated with master business systems to provide collaborative GIS support. All systems fed a central Spatial Data Warehouse via a replication scheme.Developed the Solution Architecture support for a state-wide enterpise Spatial Data Warehouse and GIS Portal.Participated on a team to develop a concept of Integrated Criminal Justice Management based upon the FileNet P8 platform, a J2EE based aplication platform suite.Led the GIS Special Interest Group within the Eureka knowledge management community.

Developed a multi-platform GIS Hub to integrate geospatial data in a variety of formats from multiple city bureaus. Employed ArcSDE, SQL Server and FME. Database replication was customized to synchronize spatial data in local warehouses.

Smallworld GIS development for East Midlands Electricity

Designed the software architecture for GIS maintenance environment for the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources.

Developed and taught a GIS course to Civil Engineering Masters students.

Consulted to Australian Federal government organizations in the areas of natural, environmental and cultural geospatial information management.

In two separate stints with the company, Graham worked at rig sites offshore in the North Sea as well as in the deserts of North Yemen. He was responsible for monitoring the drilling operation with emphasis upon pressure control and rig safety; logging geological cores; and producing complete computerised geological logs of sections drilled; to evaluate possible hydrocarbon bearing formations.
