This committee considers the appropriateness of proposed increases in patient part charges that are in excess of government recommended guidelines for General Practitioners. It has to consider viability of the practice fairness to patients and fit with prevailing market rates of patient part charges in the vicinity.

When I was first appointed the school was making deficits and having to defer capex. During my time on the board we turned around the performance of the school to consistently produce surpluses and eliminate the capex backlog.The school is one of the top 10 performing girls’ secondary schools in New Zealand academically, in sports and the arts.

Councillors are elected to the position, elected governance bodies often don’t have the requisite skills to be able to discharge their responsibilities, to address this I was appointed as an independent expert governance and finance resource. I was on this committee for approximately ten years.During my time on this committee the council got very positive.
