My approach initially was to target the governments ‘decent homes’ investment programme to boost turnover, as a result in 2008 Lengard were appointed to the Phoenix Community Housing framework as a collaborative working partner to upgrade 3500 street properties. A project worth £28m.A raft of commercial refurbishments followed, I then used past experience of school maintenance refurbishments, I headed a targeted & focused marketing campaign in pursuit of the school ‘Primary Capital Programme’. This was achieved during an extremely difficult period in the construction industry. Lengard went on to win a £7.6m expansion and rebuild of Eveline School in Southwark, with profile expanding Lengard became pioneers in an emerging and profitable market. By 2011 Lengard had 21 ‘PCP’ funded projects on site, ranging from £500,000 remodelling projects to £7m rebuilds.All the above was achieved during the worst recession since the 1930’s, whilst Lengard’s turnover almost doubled, I am proud to be associated and to have been an integral part of this committed, focused, and technically competent team. -
