My father is a primary-care physician, one sisters is an anesthesiology resident, and another is a full-time pediatric nurse. Growing up, I was heavily led towards the medical industry due to this family dynamic. However, my passions pushed me in the direction of mathematics and analysis while continuing to keep my roots in fields of practice. I am most passionate about continuously learning new perspectives to challenges, skills, and modeling techniques. Regardless of age, I aspire to endlessly grow my pool of knowledge and experience. Upon graduation, I intend to continue pursuing towards my fellowship credentials. While the field of Actuarial Science in not inherently client-facing, I plan to take on opportunities presented to me as it pertains to meeting with individuals, building social connections, and seeing first-hand the impacts we have on the community.I am a performance-driven individual with over six summers of experience providing excellent service as a member of a professional construction team. Familiar with safety regulations, decision-making, problem-solving, and quickly learning on the spot. I have applied these skills in my construction career to perform ever-changing concrete layout work. Seeking to analyze and calculate costs of risk. Equipped with technical skills in the area, including mathematics, statistics, MS applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and knowledge of financial theory. In my student career, I have followed my interest in mathematics by scheduling a plan to provide me with a Mathematics minor on top of my Actuarial Science degree from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. I have participated and helped in volunteer work for my fraternity by researching opportunities to support areas in need around me. Academic excellence is put to a high standard for myself and those around me, providing me with the opportunity to communicate effectively to support fellow students around me academically.
