My roots come from the photocopier/print industry (please do not hold that against me!) and although I am still very active in this area (consulting and helping organisations with bad contracts – see references and my experience below) my focus now is very much on software development and innovation. This is specifically focused on developing products that remove paper heavy processes, helping organisations shift from paper to data. My vision is the next generation print management and the concept of Paperlight, which I founded 6 years ago. I have considerable experience in the following sectors:• Education – worked with Wellington College (see reference), Harrow, St Pauls, Charterhouse, Uppingham, City of London Boys and Girls School, in total over 100 independent schools – helping them to move from paper to data. Deployed systems to manage joining papers, bursary management (with BAL) and online registration (and integration with ISAMS). Supported schools with driving recruitment through my work as a Director of RSAdmissions. I have also been a school governor for 4 years, chair of finance. • Legal – consulted for Cyde & Co, Taylor Wessing, Weightmans, Steele Raymond, helping them to manage and reduce the cost of printing/copying plus guide on overall strategy for managed print. See reference from Clyde (seven figure saving).• Accountancy – worked with Smith & Williamson (see reference and six figures saving), Albert Goodman. Guiding them both on managed print. • Corporate – provided support for the BBC (contracted by Fujitsu) with deployment of the largest Safecom print management deployment in the UK. • Automotive industry – involved in scoping print solutions in the sector and experienced in integration with CDK. Previously director in Motor Document Solutions and part of the original team behind IdealFile. • Hospitality sector – worked with Exclusive Hotel Group, Donnington Valley and Vineyard, Foxhills, Corus Group – helping them all to manage print and increase profit from print through Business Centres.
