I joined Darke & Taylor as an Electrical Apprentice in 1988 and have since undertaken a number of management roles within the company. I have a vast amount of industry experience, including hands on practical project delivery, project/contract management, estimating and electrical services design and engineering. Throughout my career I have continued to develop my skills and experience including gaining an HNC in Contract Management and an MSc in Facilities Management.In 2008 I achieved the position of Company Director/Board Member and I also manage the Estimating and Design Department, which successfully bids for over £10M of work every year. I am also heavily involved with the construction side of the company and provide the management interface between those who price and tender for our projects and the contracting department that delivers the work. Darke & Taylor can trace its history back to Oxford’s first electrical engineering company. Over the last 50 years the company has developed in response to the rapidly changing requirements and technical advances in the electro-technical industry whilst maintaining a commitment to direct employment and developing the careers of its valued staff. The Company operates in a number of key strategic construction market sectors including super-prime residential, public sector, universities and commercial office space. Specialists in the design and delivery of exceptional electrical installations, capabilities include mains power and backup systems, bespoke and low energy lighting, fire and security systems, IT and smart-home network cabling, and renewable energy technology. Additional services include test, inspection, commissioning and facilities maintenance to help customers safely manage the critical systems that keep their premises operating and protected.I pride myself on providing value for money to our clients, we are not the cheapest, but we understand client needs and provide a service second to none.
