Organising, managing, marketing and delivering a series of 12 events and in excess of 15 employer promotional stands to positively impact on the student experience and increase student engagement with employability. • In collaboration with colleagues at the University of Sussex, I secured 145 employers, from a wide range of sectors relevant to the 3,000 visiting students’ fields of study, to exhibit at the annual joint careers fair at the Amex stadium in Brighton.• Pointing out the mutual benefits for both employers and students, I actively encouraged employers to bring alumni from the university to staff promotional stands and speak at employer events, affording students the opportunity to hear inspirational stories and tips for their own employment journeys.• For employer stands at subject specific careers fairs, I instigated a system of set positions resulting in clear room layouts for students facilitating a targeted approach to their visit.• Working as a team supervisor, I gave clear direction via information sheets emailed to staff and student ambassadors assisting with event delivery in relation to task allocation, timings, dress code, venue details and contact information. • Using my organisational and time management skills, I created and continually updated time specific event project plans to capture all necessary activity from conception to delivery and post event evaluation. • For each event, I drew up risk assessment documents and ensured, that these were in accordance with university health and safety policy.• Coordinating the creation of marketing materials to ensure events are publicised across the University to the relevant audiences via blogs, tweets, website copy and Facebook.• Sourcing and costing services such as printing, hospitality and audio visual equipment.• Maintaining accurate records, reviewing and evaluating all events via the collection of feedback and recommending actions for the future development of the events programme.
