I analyze the data acquired from super-resolution microscopy with two different approaches. First, computer vision and statistical learning techniques are developed and implemented to identify and recognize shapes of DNA folding for automated classification purposes. Second, I use exploratory analysis of spatial point processes to describe statistical dependencies among molecules. -

This project consists of three research blocks: 1) development of a fluid-structure biomechanical model of the vocal folds with collision via the finite-element method, 2) data processing and analysis of high-speed videoendoscopic recordings of the vocal fold oscillations, which involves image processing techniques, such as image registration (optical flow) for motion estimation and segmentation for mesh generation 3) image-based state-space problem for tissue parameter identification via nonstationary Bayesian inversion methods. -
