I was selected to participate in 3 accelerator programs by Philips (Philips Healthworks), Johnson & Johnson Innovation (JLABS), and Texas Medical Center (TMC|X). I spent an intensive 3 months in Philips’ accelerator program, on-site in Eindhoven, understanding how to commercialize R&D and successfully launch products to the market. Backed by guidance and investment from Philips, I positioned Noninvasix for growth. In addition to raising over $7M for the company in investments and grants, I focused on building a solid foundation for the organization:• Worked closely with engineering team to deliver alpha-prototype of world’s first non-invasive central venous oximeter and conduct human clinical testing of oxygenation monitoring devices• Managed worldwide (US, EU, Canada, Australia, Japan, and China) IP portfolio with 30 issued patents• Led five FDA submissions and three in-person meetings with the FDA in partnership with regulatory consultant• Negotiated both Breakthrough Device Designation and de novo 510(k) regulatory pathway with FDA • Developed new signal processing algorithm (in Python using NumPy and SciPy) to enable oximeter to measure oxygenation in deep blood vessels• Oversaw custom development of pulsed laser diode subsystem in partnership with engineering team and laser vendor
