As a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto, our team is at the forefront of climate-positive solutions, integrating nanotechnology and electrocatalysis to drive innovation in CO2 capture and upcycling. My journey through a PhD in Chemical Engineering has culminated in a deep-seated expertise in CO2/CO reduction, biomass valorization and plastic waste upcycling into value-added products using catalytic pathways.Through collaboration, we advanced analytical techniques, including electron microscopy and spectroscopy, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and waste reduction. Mentoring emerging talent, I guided three students to pioneer a new photocatalytic technology for wastewater treatment, underscoring my commitment to fostering the next generation of engineering leaders while attending to the pressing environmental challenges of our times.
