The name’s Grant Clover. *extends hand* I’m a professional writer with 3+ years of corporate experience, a storyteller who graduated with a 4.0 GPA, and an award-winning filmmaker. You name it, I’ve probably written it: commercials, journalism pieces, films, novels, folk songs, help articles, technical SOPs, comedy blog posts, marketing emails, weird Christmas newsletters, haikus, and the list goes on and on longer than Santa’s Naughty or Nice list. Well, maybe not quite that long.My philosophy for writing is that story always comes first, whether it’s for a product description, marketing campaign, help article, or short story. What are you trying to convey, and what narrative is your audience/customer/reader going to take away?When it comes to storytelling, I dabble in contradicting genres. Drama is my forte. Comedy is my love language. Horror is a passion. And low-key sci-fi seems to work itself into most of my short stories against my will. So far, I’ve written, produced, and directed two award-winning short films, I Walk With Ghosts (2023) and Portrait of a Smile (2024). I Walk With Ghosts took the festival circuit by storm, winning over 60 film awards and was selected by over 85 festivals across over 15 countries. Though just released to festivals, Portrait of a Smile already boasts 8 selections, 3 wins, and a Hollywood festival release date at the Hollywood BLVD Film Festival. I’ve also been nominated by Cannes World Film Festival for the Best Young Filmmaker Award.Let’s create stories together!
