- Worked autonomously and collaboratively as part of a small, multidisciplinary team on a monolithic Ruby on Rails API/internal user application and supported a B2B front-end web app that enabled users to manage rental listings.- In collaboration with the Director of Product, designed and implemented the back-end logic for a feature which allowed clients to set custom rate discount percentages for their properties based on a renter’s length of stay. This integrated seamlessly with previous rate discount features for greater customization and flexibility of pricing.- Assisted in the design and implementation of a large codebase transition which transformed the rental management product from a single tiered product into a three-tiered system. Each tier had separate product requirements for various aspects including in-house verifications, pricing structures/rates/user pricing autonomy, access and functionality for external integrations (ex. automated AirBnB or ICS syncs), and search/sort positions. Initial product adopters using the most automated tier, “Autopilot”, had a 95% fill rate on their properties within 45 days.Refactored code for rental cost calculations which improved performance, maintainability, testing, and readability.- Built maintenance tasks to fulfill routine requests and data backfills which improved user QoL and data integrity- Utilitized Datadog and user reported issues to fix outstanding bugs and provide a better user experience.- Made small feature contributions to a front-end Typescript/React repo and a Rust GraphQL repo.

- Developed, maintained, and collaborated on RESTful endpoints, services, models, data, validations, asynchronous jobs, test suites, and documentation for a B2B/B2C Rails API on an agile engineering team overseeing pay rate management.- Provided and responded to PR reviews participated in product/design/architectural discussions and various agile ceremonies to foster team cohesion and help meet product objectives.- Developed the majority of endpoints and backend services to rebuild a user facing data-driven dashboard which improved speed, accuracy, and visibility of data while reducing technical dependencies, external user requests to internal client handlers, and creating improved metrics for performance monitoring. - Developed endpoints and backend services to rebuild a long-term contract agreement feature which improved the feature’s automation by vastly reducing the number of internal user actions required. - Authored spikes for technical and non-technical audiences to research and plan upcoming product feature requirements based on current codebase infrastructure for the dashboard and contract agreement features.- Authored an RFC outlining an approach to improve user feature permissions and encapsulation with guidance from a staff engineer. - Participated in a cross-functional group to remedy challenges within the existing RFC process, increase participation in the review process, reduce wait time for feedback, and solidify criteria for approving and executing proposals.

A fifteen week intensive program designed to provide a strong understanding and skillset in React/Redux, Rails, Javascript, Ruby the inter-workings of the internet, and common engineering design practices.
