Manage the implementation of the Catch Quota Trials using Electronic Monitoring and CCTV equipment aboard commercial fishing boats.

My main role was to design, manage and implement the Catch Sampling Programme to meet the EU Data Collection Framework and manage the AFST team resources. In addition I was the Scientist in Charge of the RV Endeavour and Corystes for the English Channel Beam Trawl Survey. I also managed other smaller projects including the Irish Sea Self Sampling scheme, the Electronic Monitoring trials, and the Cetacean Bycatch projects.

Coordinated the EU project investigating a European coordinated approach to undertaking catch sampling at sea in order to fulfil the new catch sampling requirements proposed for the new Data Collection Regulation (2001).
