As a senior ecologist for North Barker Ecosystem Services I engage in all levels of business, including project management, tendering, field work, reporting, mapping and client liaison. The field component of my work involves a substantial amount of botanical surveying, using a variety of methods in diverse habitats from urban roadsides, to wet forests, to coastal heaths, to highland grasslands. In all aspects I am required to operate largely autonomously and to efficiently utilise limited time and resources to deliver projects under budget. I founded Express Ecology to give developers, land owners and land managers an affordable and reliable alternative to help navigate their way through complex environmental legislation and planning procedures. I'm an advocate that can consistently identify and anticipate environmental constraints and provide the proponent with the fastest and most economical route to approval. In addition, I provide regulators with rigorous, unbiased assessments of development proposals, with the aim of achieving outstanding outcomes for both nature and the proponent.
