Here, I am a rotational operator working with three outsides areas/units. My other duties include preparing work equipment for lockout/tagout, troubleshooting machinery issues, and issuing contractor permits. Overall Duties • Working two areas per shift; preparing equipment for maintenance; start up and shutdown of equipment per plant SOPs; mechanical troubleshooting; analyzing samples; issuing permits; following procedures such as confined space entry, energy control, hot work and unit readings. Key Achievements • Improve redlining and lockout/tagout procedures for optimum efficiency and future work, enhancing workplace safety and production speed. • Ability to operate four outside olefins units (cold fractionation, refrigerant and process gas compressors and gas hydrogenation unit).• Updated and modernized permitting procedures from manual to e-permitting using Prometheus Group Software to increase efficiency and create the ability to verify permits at any time, track job time, keep workers accountable, ensure jobs are following a timeline and all safety measures are being complied with.

For this role, I was hired as a regular technician and was promoted to lead operator for outstanding work on the client side of business. I was responsible for managing people and ensuring team safety. Duties Performed • Ran three units per shift performing similar duties as previous position along with commissioning and starting up Train 1 and Train 2. • Managed six field operators during 12-hour rotating shifts and 12-24 outside technicians as zone lead for turnarounds and outages.• Ensured equipment was adequately locked and tagged out, prepped and ready for maintenance work to be completed.Certified Work Areas • Acid gas removal, amine regeneration, hot oil, ethylene/propane liquefaction and compression, condensate stabilization and heavies removal. Key Achievements • Launched the first lighting wet and dry flare safety systems • Oversaw numerous projects such as Mol sieve dryer bed change-outs, which is the regeneration of molecular sieves, the most crucial step in temperature swing adsorption (TSA) processes, determining the performance and operating cost of molecular sieves over a given lifetime.
