Grant is an experienced Program Director, who is responsible for progressing the delivery of the Advanced Resource Recovery Centre (ARRC) for the Gold Coast community. The ARRC will be in a dedicated precinct and use innovative technology. The focus will be on resource recovery and reuse. It will also convert residual waste materials into energy while minimising the environmental impact. Converting waste to energy will help divert up to 97% of all waste from existing landfills. The program also includes the development of a new sewage treatment plant in Stapylton to service the catchment’s growing population.

Grant was the Partnership Manager for the Professional Services Partnership between City of Gold Coast Council and the Stantec-WSP JV. In his role, he was responsible for fostering a collaborative and healthy working partnership between Council and the PSP, to support the delivery of Water and Waste's vision and corporate objectives. He was responsible for the program and JV management of the PSP and monitoring of a portfolio of water, wastewater, renewables and solid water planning and design projects being delivered by the PSP. Under Grant's leadership, the PSP delivered over 300 projects for Council with approximately 100 staff from WSP and Stantec active on projects at any given time and secured a 5-year extension to the Contract.Notable projects that Grant has been involved with: - Advanced Resource Recovery Centre - prefeasibility assessments and investigations - Recycled Water Expansion Project - detailed design and construction support services - Asset Lifecycle Delivery Services - technical support of procurement activities - Waste Recycling Center Upgrades - master planning and design services - Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3 - PUP Owners Engineering support - Renewable Energy (Solar) - tender reference design at Coombabah and Pimpama STPs

Grant led a series of complex infrastructure programs for SA Water, Hunter Water and BHP Australia. The programs of works relate to the development and renewal of large-scale water infrastructure assets, with a combined delivery value in excess of $450m. He has been involved with the development and upgrade of seawater and brackish water desalination plants in the role of an Owner’s Engineer and Program Manager. He has been responsible for leading the estimating, procurement packaging and strategy and technical development of projects with a focus on the feasibility and design of the balance of plant works, in particular the intake and outfall marine works. Through his program role, he has managed program budgets and schedules, presented to senior leadership teams and built positive and long-term relationships with key engineering, environmental and operational stakeholders.

Working as an Senior Water Engineer, delivering water supply and treatment infrastructure projects to clients across Australia. Some key projects have included:- SA Water: Owners Engineer and design management roles to support the implementation of water security related water treatment (seawater desalination) assets, water demand analysis and forecasting projects for regional and metropolitan South Australia (2015 - 2019)- Western Australia mining clients: Chlorine dosing facility compliance and risk assessments, chlorine gas dispersion modelling (inc. simplistic and 3D CFD), feasibility and detailed design of electrochlorination (OSHG) dosing facilities and design of fluorosilicic acid dosing plant (2014 - 2018)- South Australia mining client: Development of water supply strategy to support major upgrade of existing site (Capex value $>100M), probabilistic assessment of demand and infrastructure capacity to optimise capital and operational water infrastructure investment and concept design of desalination plant (23 ML/d) (2017 - 2018)- Gippsland Water: Design of chlorination and chloramination dosing facility at Neerim South WTP (2017)- QUU: Water supply and water quality feasibility studies across the Brisbane, Scenic Rim and Lockyer Valley council regions (2014 - 2017)- Logan Water Alliance: Water supply and water quality planning, design, asset management and operational improvement projects (2011 - 2014)
