Relocating to Texas to embark on a career as an Emergency Medicine physician, I discovered initial fulfillment within the dynamic environment of the emergency department. Traversing various hospital departments and free-standing settings, I cultivated a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare landscape.The challenges posed by the Covid era prompted a significant shift in my career trajectory towards the realm of clinical research.While still practicing medicine in the emergency department, I transitioned into a new role as a Principal Investigator (PI), actively engaging in as many aspects of clinical trials as possible. Collaborating directly with the executive director of clinical operations and site development, I played a key role in the comprehensive restructuring of the site, refining data collection procedures, editing various clinical trial documents, and significantly contributing to the development and review of work processes. This hands-on involvement not only led to a substantial increase in gross revenue for the site but also propelled my experience beyond two chronological years. This extensive engagement equipped me with strategic planning and execution skills crucial for managing complex projects.As the Medical Director of the ASC, I honed my leadership skills by fostering a positive work environment, driving staff development, and successfully spearheading an internship program with ten available positions. This experience seamlessly aligns with responsibilities requiring strategic leadership and relationship-building in healthcare.In my role as an Emergency Medicine physician, I boast a proven track record of fostering professional relationships with specialists in various fields, refining my communication skills through clear and concise conversations with consultants, and adopting a more deliberate and explanatory approach with patients. My responsibilities as the Medical Director included managing credentialing and training for incoming physicians. Active participation and presenting in regular scientific leadership team meetings further showcase my ability to collaborate effectively in a matrixed environment.I am excited to embark on a new career path that can best utilize my wide breadth of skills and knowledge.
