I have a passion for the written word, especially novels, and I am making the move from the general labor work I have done for the past twenty years to work in publishing. I am the inventory control specialist for the Rockford, IL branch of Columbia Pipe, a plumbing and industrial supply wholesale company. The operations and branch managers recognized my attention to detail and willingness to focus on maintaining quality inventory records, ability to learn new processes and technologies, and that they could trust in me to be a self-motivated independent worker. While I am proud of what I have been able to do at Columbia Pipe, I desire new challenges and to follow my passion. I want to apply my attention to detail to helping authors bring their stories to the world. I want to become a trusted partner with writers, editors, and publishers-working as a team to produce quality educational and entertaining books.
