I have refereed hockey here in Airdrie and the surrounding rural area for more than 12 seasons, and serve as a member of the Airdrie Referees Association’s Board of Directors in charge of Development currently. Officiating hockey requires the fortitude to be decisive at critical points in the game, as well as the ability to take and give constructive criticism. I attended Central Zone Development Camps in 2005 and 2006 and have officiated up to Midget AAA and Heritage Junior B hockey.
