After completing my trainee programme I was moved up to a Grade 2 Operator. My duties for this role were as followed:•Following operational batch cards strictly keeping within parameters for optimum yields.•Complying to strict health and safety regulations of a top tier COMAH site •Operation of large array of processing equipment such as vessels,receivers,headers,pumps both diaphragm and centrifugal,filters,TCM’S and centrifuges.•Handling and charging of hazardous materials on a regular basis,ensuring all product codes and goods received notes (GRN) are correct.•Constant use of PCS system to control additions,TCM’S,agitators,etc.•Documentation of process variables such as temperature,pressure,levels. Making sure all of which are constantly within parameters for safety and batch quality.•Frequent monitoring of process equipment for faults such as leaks,blockages,PCS issues etc.•Providing precise handovers to oncoming shift including a detailed written log aswell as verbal.•Being accountable for the overall cleanliness on plant( shadow boards, litter picks, etc) Show less
