About Grant Jednesty

I am a software engineering student, scheduled to graduate with honors in 2022. I currently serve as an undergraduate teaching assistant for Arizona State University’s software engineering program. In my teaching assistant role, I work closely with a diverse group of engineering students who have varying degrees of technical skills. I help them troubleshoot code, employ best practices in object-oriented programming, and work together more effectively in teams (specifically coaching them in cross-cultural communications and version control with Git). I also prepare weekly project guides and review material for exams. Prior to this, I worked at Starbucks for five years as a shift supervisor, where I cultivated a wide range of skills including project management, crisis response, how to lead and build up people from all walks of life, and come up with creative solutions to unexpected challenges.
