As a Client Service Management intern at ISC Group, I supported the retirement plan advisory and individual client services business units. I developed skills in cold calling prospective clients, managed multiple projects efficiently, problem-solved with fellow interns, and developed email and social media marketing content for events. I also utilized Bloomberg to research old stock certificates and model bond yields for cash reserve management and retirement plans and got to learn from a wealth of internal and external business partners. I was also able to study for and pass the SIE exam.

During my summer volunteer role, I supported the marketing and outreach efforts for an upcoming conference. I gained experience in cold calling and email marketing, developing effective communication strategies to promote the event.

During my internship at Texas Farm Bureau, I conducted client field calls to assist with claims evaluation and documentation. In the office, I collaborated on efficient claims processing, contributed to strategy discussions, and supported the accounting department with tax return filings. This experience sharpened my interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.

• Semester-long course in which hand-picked students manage the ~$16 million Baylor Large Cap endowment fund.• Investigated the portfolio’s existing holdings in the Energy & Utilities sectors, presented recommendations to hold or sell each holding.• Screened for and selected an E&P company to replace one existing holding in the Energy Sector, clearly communicated the process used and the recommendation ultimately proposed.• Became proficient in Bloomberg and FactSet to extensively research the Energy Sector and formed a long-term outlook of the industries within the sector, which informed our overall recommendation.• Leveraged PowerPoint skills to create 2 presentations of over 70 slides to logically present research and recommendations for decision-making to the voting council, presented to faculty and business school leadership at end-of-year meeting.

Worked during the summer on the Frisch Auf! Valley Country Club golf course. Worked closely with the golf course superintendent to improve the quality of the greens. As well as kept up typical maintenance: lawn mowing, weedeating, watering, etc.

Observed the lead financial advisor and founder of the firm's day-to-day operations, gaining valuable insight into wealth management and strategy for retirement security. Practiced pitching sales of annuities and catering to client needs, learning the invaluable nature of clientele service, and offering solutions to those external clients.

Traveled across Texas delivering and stocking products to a multitude of convenient stores, travel stations, and shops.
