With Queensland Fire and Emergency Services transitioning to the Queensland Fire Department, the formation of the Frontline IT Solution and Services Directorate will bring all Frontline IT support back into QFD. My role is to develop the vision and strategy to build the capabilities of the new directorate, drive improved stakeholder engagement, development of fit for purpose solutions with tighter integration of Solutions development and systems support to deliver a true centralised, enterprise-level technology service delivery of ICT solutions and applications that maximise customer satisfaction and operational efficiencies

After my success building and managing the Topcon Engineering Operations Construction project management team I was tasked to recruit and train a team of Project Managers distributed around the world including Adelaide, Brisbane, Helsinki, Moscow and Livermore to manage Topcon’s Software development for Construction machine control, Agriculture machine control, OEM partner, GNSS, SaaS and Enterprise Cloud Solutions. In addition to these duties I also designed and managed an automated BI reporting tool to improve the monitoring, managing and reporting of Topcon projects.

Reporting to the VP of engineering I was tasked to build a PMO for Topcon’s Engineering Operations group to increase the Engineering Operations project management capabilities in a consolidated methodology and processes, resource planning, estimations and budgeting, project reporting and continuous improvement activities and apply them to the management of Software development, Hardware development, IP handover and firmware development projects. Included in my duties was recruiting, training and mentoring new Project Managers as well as manage a globally distributed team of Project Managers, Project Administrators and local IT support.
