Mental health researcher integrating perspectives from data science and public health.The mental health industry is rife with issues, including lack of access to therapy, unacceptably high costs to clients, and overreliance on pharmaceutical treatments for depression and anxiety. Low-cost, scalable mental health interventions can be a useful tool for filling the gaps in our mental healthcare system. However, the effectiveness of these interventions is hindered by their lack of flexibility.My mission is to solve this problem by tailoring scalable interventions to individual needs. Using data streams from wearable technology, high frequency surveys, and genomic testing, we can build personalized models of mental illness that tell us when and how to intervene to provide the greatest benefit.
