My name is Grant Kirkman and I am an undergraduate student at NC State University. I was born in Napa Valley, CA, and grew up on both the west and east coasts of the U.S. Currently, my major is intended to be Nuclear Engineering, with which I plan to pursue work in the nuclear fusion industry. While in college, I hope to obtain valuable knowledge and apply myself in the workforce via opportunities such as internships and co-ops.Outside of college, I love coaching youth sports, video games, technology, space, sports, and enjoying the outdoors.One of my biggest strengths is that I am adaptable. I have moved 6 times and lived in 5 different cities, most recently moving to Raleigh for college. I have now gone through 6+ academic systems. Each time, I have risen to the occasion and reached new heights. I have traveled across the U.S. as well as to Canada. Of those 5 cities, I have lived in 3 different states: California, Nevada, and North Carolina.I have skills such as introductory Python programming, being a fast learner, strong core leadership values, and a great foundation of general knowledge, especially in the STEM fields.
