Trading since 1966 Sell & Parker Metal Recycling Services is an Australian owned and operated private company. We are buyers and sellers of all grades and all quantities of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous metals.

Responsible for all areas of finance including management and statutory reporting, taxation, treasury, budgeting, cash flow management and insurance. Other areas reporting through to me in include information technology, human resources and supply chain.Carried out due diligence, negotiated contracts to buy Speedo Australia Pty Limited in 2006, and the Australian operations of Lee, Riders by Lee and Wrangler from another distributor in 2009 and I developed costs savings strategies for the successful integration of these businesses. Very substantial synergies were derived in both cases.I have established strong relationship with the company's banks which has assisted with raising funds for the businesses rapid expansion over the past 9 years.During my time as CFO the finance department has successfully implemented full brand, and retail store profitability reporting utilizing SAP functionality. This has empowered business unit managers to understand the performance of their business and any cost variances in detail. The detail extends to performance of each individual retail store and each wholesale brand.

Ampy Automation Digilog was a developer and manufacturer of electronic electricity meters and remote reading electricity meters.Email Limited acquired a majority shareholding in Ampy in 1999. I was chosen for secondment to assist with the integration of this company into the Email Group.I was responsible for all areas of finance including management and statutory reporting, taxation, treasury, budgeting, insurance and information systems.During my secondment I was the project manager for the implementation of an ERP system, from selection through to post implementation. The system was implemented on time and within budget, with all major objectives achieved.

Email Limited was listed company on the Australian stock exchange until it was taken over in 2001. It had turnover in excess of $2 billion. I managed a department of 7 staff; reviews were carried out to assess controls in place at business units across the Email Group. The reviews conducted looked at business processes as well as financial and accounting controls. Findings from the review were presented by me to Senior Management and the Audit Committee of the Board.

Placer Pacific Limited was a listed gold mining company on the Australian Stock Exchange until 1997.I conducted financial and operational reviews/audits throughout the Asia/Pacific region. Areas reviewed included inventory management and logistics, mine equipment maintenance programmes, treasury management, construction and contract management and financial controls. Findings from these reviews were presented by me to senior management and the Board Audit Committee of Placer Pacific Limited.

A senior manager in the audit division, with responsibility for some of KPMG's most prestigious clients. Assignments included audits, due diligence for acquisitions and floats, and technical accounting advice.I was the lead manager of the telecommunications industry focus group.I was chosen for secondment to the Australian Securities Commission in 1993 to work as an accounting consultant in the Office of the Chairman for 14 months.I was chosen to act as a trainer for partners and staff on the KPMG audit approach.I was a group leader and exam marker for the Institute of Chartered Accountants professional year (PY) program.
