I am a founding Director of Jabin Group Pty Ltd, a 100% Indigenous owned and managed Engineering & Construction Services company. I hold the honour of being the inaugural Chairman of the Indigenous Engineers Group, a Chartered Professional Engineer (Structural/Leadership & Management) and Fellow within Engineers Australia. I am a proud descendant of the Gumbaynggirr and Biripi nations of Northern NSW.Working across a wide range of projects and disciplines within the engineering field with extensive experience in Façades, ESD, Design Management, Procurement and Fabrication, gaining experience in both contracting and consulting roles whilst working on local and international projects within government, aviation, defence, residential and commercial sectorsFurther to my professional work I help to mentor young indigenous engineers and hope to develop the Indigenous Engineers Group into a group that provides support, networking and developmental opportunities for current and future Indigenous Engineers.I am also the CEO of Deadly Coders - a community-managed registered charity on a mission to ignite learning and career pathways in STEM to Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander primary and secondary students across Australia. Deadly Coders provides a culturally safe, connected space for learning and creativity in digital technologies – our fully subsidised programs include coding, robotics and digital technologies curriculum.
