About Grant Ostermeyer
With college in the rear view mirror, I look outwards toward the hills of life and find myself in the ups and downs of the foothills called my 20s. My teen and few years of my 20s have been jam packed full of learning a vast variety of hard skills from roasting and making specialty coffee all the way to engineering and designing a concert from top to bottom and even to creating a safe environment for kids to learn in. These all are minuscule to the soft skills that come with these industries. I have learned how to lead, develop, and care for a vast variety of people, maybe not in a perfect way, but in a way where each individual feels like they have a seat at the table. This is the most important skill that is unfortunately almost a lost one. Years of hard skills experience falls flat in the wake of a few excellent years of learning soft skills.
