Responsible for managing a team of relationship managers (RM’s) and business managers with a focus on the bank’s Mining and Metals and Telecoms and Media clients.RM responsibilities include inter alia, Responsible for originating and facilitating the introduction to the clients of the entire suite of the Corporate and Investment Banking Division’s products, from transactional banking to global markets to investment banking products.

Responsible for the structuring and provision of term debt finance to a selection of Standard Bank’s top tier clients as a consequence of client’s:-- Acquisitions or expansions- Refinancing or increasing funding tenor- BEE deal implementationResponsible for cross selling the suite of Investment Banking products from debt capital markets to equity instruments.Client presentations include analyzing the company’s optimal capital structure (driven off minising their weighted average cost of capital), calculating a company’s commercial debt capacity using free cash flow forecasts and bank acceptable financial covenants as the basis and calculating a shadow credit rating matrix for different levels of gearing.
