I have worked in the construction industry for the past 27 years with the most recent 3 years being in the industrial construction (SMP/E&I) sector. In this time I have worked for companies of varying sizes, from the family owned Drainage Company, the medium sized privately owned construction companies, the publicly listed international infrastructure company of UGL and the privately owned Australian (internationally operated) industrial construction company of Tenix . From this I have learned how to fit into ever changing team environments where I may need to fill numerous roles within the team, a very specific role in a sole charge situation or lead a team. I have had an extremely good grounding in my core profession of Quantity Surveying, with the help of some exceptionally talented mentors along the way from which to learn. This along with a lot of determination has enabled me to be capable of undertake any role within the Commercial Management and Project Management areas that is required of me. On this journey I have also gained an excellent knowledge of cost engineering and the importance this has on project control information on large jobs especially in calculating earn/burn and productivity values. I expect a high standard of professionalism, honesty and integrity from myself, as well as from my fellow team members. I always strive to achieve the forecasted goals and outcomes on any project to the highest standards whilst still trying to have a bit of fun along the way.
