As an Emergency Shelter Assistant Director of Human Services I worked with over 6 thousand refugees, predominantly from Latin America, to help them to obtain job permits and housing outside of the shelter. I helped to supervise and coordinate a team of Shelter Workers to perform routine inspections, meals, intake new arrivals and execute discharges. I successfully managed many tense and tactical situations such as conflict resolution between individuals, families, ordering emergency hospital transports, writing reports, the aftermath of domestic abuse and many more. I also interpreted between Spanish and English for other City of Denver leaders who could not speak Spanish in order them for to communicate with our guests.

I work as a Sales Assistant for the largest Wholesale Distributer of Indoor & Perennial in Colorado. I am responsible for carefully selecting, packing and loading on average of over $200,000 worth of plants per month. In this role, I quickly became familiar with over 300 indoor and perennial plant varieties and their care requirements as to help recommend new products and provide solutions to another business' needs. I am trusted with suggesting and finding alternative products when a customer's order cannot be satisfied as originally requested, so as to lose as few sales as possible. I am also the Social Media Marketing Manager of my current company, The Emerald Leaf. I share engaging content showcasing the personality of our team, the hardworking spirit of our employees and showcase any new exciting deals or products we are currently offering. In addition, I use my Spanish speaking ability on a daily basis at my work by helping coordinate orders and deliveries with distributors from California and Arizona who speak Spanish exclusively. I also help with interpreting between managers and monolingual employees to ensure a smooth running work environment.

I served as one of three company administrators, receiving and assigning interpreters of many languages to hundreds of medical appointments as well as recruiting and training new interpreters. As an interpreter for 1World Translation, I provide accurate and immediate interpretations to an array of medical appointments spanning Mental Health, Physical Therapy, Neurosurgery & Spine, Imaging, Pre & Post Op Surgeries etc. It's my passion to bridge the communication gap between Spanish and English, therefore helping to improve the lives of others and provide them the answers they need.
